This is my latest project under "Design & Build' contract for which my company is responsible for the large roof structure. The roof is about 100m diameter enclosing a space of almost 8000 square metres. This stadium will be ready for the 2008 Sukma Games in Terengganu commencing next month. The construction of the steel roof structure took almost 6 months in total and the design was completed in about a month. This is an alternative design to an earlier proposed 'space frame' which would require a lomger period of construction. In a nutshell, our proposal to convert the structural systeem into steel trusses augurs extremely well and which was completed within budget and in record time.
